The purchase of a home is both a powerful and tangible asset, and deserves honest, diligent representation. I have keen instincts when it comes to real estate and people, and I love sharing my knowledge with clients as they reap the rewards of home-ownership.
I grew up in this business—quite literally. From appraisals, to lending, to sales, I lived it. Armed with both a bachelor’s degree and a master of arts in rhetoric and writing, I bring a fresh blend of creativity and business to real estate. I spent three years in medical sales before returning to school for my master’s, and afterwards continued to study art and design—an ongoing pursuit since college. Clients benefit from my aesthetic eye and financial aptitude. I know how to run numbers and make them work for my clients. A home is a big investment, and I understand the magnitude of the decisions involved, while balancing the surrounding emotions—whether as a buyer or a seller.
Unique to my approach to real estate is my background and education in writing and public speaking. Formally educated in persuasion, debate, and counterargument, I have the confidence to professionally challenge circumstances that may emerge during a transaction. I take great care when preparing an escrow, and I know how to diligently structure a contract to protect both buyers and sellers. And when situations arise that necessitate negotiation and renegotiation, I have the experience to successfully represent my clients' interests.
I truly believe that I am where I am today because of Real Estate. In my early twenties, I was paying my first mortgage when we took a chance on a foreclosure. My now husband and I turned that home into an investment property. Five years later, we bought a fixer during a turn in the economy. It wasn’t easy, and we saved diligently. Our families thought we were nuts. We gutted the property, and had to do much of the work ourselves after tapping every account to our name. We now have fabulous tenants—and equity—and are so fortunate we made the decision to buy the property. One year later, we purchased a fixer in Las Vegas that we also renovated and now call home.
My own personal and professional experience in real estate is truly a benefit to my clients. From my failures, successes, and knowledge in real estate, I am able to guide my clients in their journey of home-ownership and the doors that it opens, whether buying or selling.
